On May 24, 2009 this year I was stopped @ a red arrow going left about a car length away but she thought she was in the wrong lane. So I turned on her blinker, looked behind her and decided to move because there was no traffic insight. It was 4 lanes and she moved from lane to lane but before I could make it to the right curb lane she stopped again and seen a black car. The gentleman was staring at me while he was passing me by and accelerating his speed and when he looked it was cars in front of him that he ended up hitting. One of the driver’s in a white car claims that he seen her cut him off but if he seen everything why didn’t he tell the cops that the gentleman was looking at her as he passed her by and accelerated his speed? Also, the gentleman who crashed and the gentleman in the white car both were talking to each other with hand motions prior to the cops arriving. I was found @ fault for the accident basically because of the gentleman in the white car. My insurance company is paying all 3 of the parties. The gentleman who hit everyone filed a personal injury claim in addition; he was paid $20,000 by my insurance as well. It just bugs me because I know he wasn’t paying attention as he passed me by and that’s the reason why he really crashed. I need to find a lawyer who’d be willing to represent me although my insurance co. thinks it’s a loss cause because of the police report (the female cop never came over to get my side of the story) and because of the gentleman in the white car because they state that he doesn’t have a reason to lie. Also, my children were in the car in they seen him staring at me as well until he passed me by and tried to brake at the last minute. I’m willing to take a polygraph test as well to prove that he was staring at me and accelerated his speed as he passed me by in addition I looked before I moved over and there was no traffic insight. So he had to be going really fast to even catch up to me. My main concern is that he is reaping significant benefits and secondary is my insurance. Anyone have any information that could be valuable? Sometimes I think the whole scenario at the car accident site was a little biased because the gentleman who crashed into everyone is a firefighter.

We were hit head on by some kids who were uninsured. It was a pretty bad accident but luckily we have Personal Injury Protection and also uninsured motorists. The combined impact was about 90 mph and it totaled both cars, we are lucky to be alive. But our insurance company decided after 2 months that we must not really be hurt and tried to send us to get a independent medical examiner. That’s all fine and dandy because we have nothing to hide, we are both still truly hurt. But from what I understand from talking with our chiropractor is that this is a tactic the insurance company uses to stop paying for our medical bills and almost all of the “medical examiners” deem the patients fine and need no further treatment thus our medical bills would no longer be covered. So we got ourselves a lawyer to deal with this and they are seeking 300,000 dollars from our insurance company (which is the amount of uninsured motorist coverage we have.) This scares me, I don’t want this kid and his family to be ruined. What’s the likely hood that they will get that, and if not that, what is more likely?

I sprained my ankle at work in Feb. of 2008 and kept receiving letters from the hospital saying that I would have to pay this bill. I gave these letters to my employer and didn’t receive anything back from them. Now the hospital has filed a warrant in debt for the $900 bill. I thought that if the injury occurred at work that the employer is responsible for this. Am I wrong in this assumption? Will I need to get a lawyer?

10/29/01- I received an injury to my left eye leaving me partially blind in that eye. I had a lawyer, went through court hearings, supreme court and lost. Work Related Injury That Occured 3 Years Ago…?

My friend had an injury to his shoulder that occured three years ago while lifting an appliance at work. His boss was informed of what happend but he was not informed as what to do. Now three years have passed and he is still not better. He continues to lift heavy items and now his shoulder is getting worse. He may have to have surgery done athroscopically. He believes that this needs to be reported as his MRI is not going to be covered under insurance and the cost of surgery and PT will be very expensive not to mention the time out of work. What is the statue of limitations for him. Is it best to consult a Lawyer. I suggested to him to do so, but am not sure what he should do. Any help on this matter would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I have a food poison case, which involved myself (7 months pregnant) at the time, and my 16 month old son. I have had 2 attorneys sit on my case for 9 months at a time, 1 came back saying they were too busy, and then other one was representing the owner of the restuarant and could not further assist me due conflict of interest. The 2 year statue is coming up in 1-1/2 months- I need to get this case moving, but its so time consuming to explain everything to an attorney, they’ll sit on it to evaluate it, come back to say they wouldn’t meet the time, or say they cant help because one of us didn’t die.
